Merganser

DEI+ pilot project cooperation

Developing, testing and validating Merganser, an offshore solar pilot installation consisting of 6 linked platforms with a total capacity of 500 KWp, under offshore (North Sea) weather conditions.

RVO supports this innovation with a subsidy of €7.8 Million and this project has been made possible with support of the following partners:

Demonstrator "King Eider"

Partners

Our Offshore Floating Solar Demonstrator “King Eider” could not have been built without the great support of our sponsors and suppliers.

Katapult Ocean

Ocean focussed start-up accelerator

The Oslo-based organisation Katapult Ocean invests in and supports start-ups that have a positive impact on oceans. SolarDuck has been selected out of 1500 applications to the final selection.

Interreg MEA project

Progress Technology and Commerciality

The Marine Energy Alliance (MEA) is a European cooperation to progress the technical and commercial maturity level of marine energy technology companies, with the overall goal of reducing the risk of device failure in subsequent demonstration phases.

Via MEA, SolarDuck cooperates together with MARIN, DMEC and INNOSEA on numerical verification, LCoE modelling and Funding strategies.

"The Atoll"

MIT R&D Cooperation

Powering ships by hydrogen, refueled at seaworthy floating solar islands? If it is up to SolarDuck and Voyex, this will become a reality for the shipping sector. A prototype of such a solar-island will soon be on display on the Waal near Ijzendoorn, a Dutch first. The Province of Gelderland supports this innovation with a subsidy of €350.000. Dekker will facilitate the project by offering space.
