SolarDuck opened its office in Norway at Fornebu, which will be home to the company’s global business development function, headed by Francisco Guillermo Vozza (CCO & GM Norway). This milestone in SolarDuck’s growth journey was celebrated with friends, old and new, including engaging speeches on the future of offshore floating solar by Rystad Energy, Pareto Securities, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Norway and Iceland, John Groffen, and our CEO Koen Burgers.

Norway is part of SolarDuck’s DNA and a strong base for the company’s BD team. The country has been a part of SolarDuck’s early start both through investors and industrial partners. Norway and the Netherlands both share a rich history and active ecosystems within energy, maritime and innovation; as well as ambitious targets for offshore wind which pose a valuable opportunity for hybridization with offshore floating solar.

Anna Emilie Endreson, from Pareto Securities says: “Infrastructure funds are scouting for new opportunities – offshore solar is the next big thing.”
