SolarDuck is delighted to be participating in a Joint Industry Project for standardization and development of regulations and guidelines for offshore floating solar energy. With 24 partners and 5 observers a strong consortium is formed to make a difference in the regulatory landscape of mooring and anchoring of floating solar farms. This helps accelerate the industry forward and allows a much more rapid scaling.

DNV have together with a large consortia of industry players initiated two new Joint Industry Projects (JIP) to address key challenges in the rapidly growing floating solar PV industry. The JIP’s will aim to develop design requirements for anchoring & mooring and to establish design and test requirements for floaters. The findings will form the basis for two new design standards which will facilitate reliable and cost efficient project designs across all main floating PV application areas going forward.”
