The Role

Dive into the heart of our supply chain operations as a Supplier Contract Manager, where your expertise in contract management and vendor relations fuels our mission towards sustainable energy solutions. Your role is critical in creating value, fostering win-win situations, and ensuring the seamless delivery of our innovative offshore solar projects. With your commercial savvy and proactive problem-solving, you’ll actively help SolarDuck towards its ambitious goals.

Responsibilities:

• Scout for new suppliers
• Develop strategic relations with our main suppliers aiming to create value for both;
• Setup and negotiate strategic long-term win-win agreements with suppliers;
• Challenge and steer and optimize suppliers to perform above standard;
• Masterfully manage supplier contracts to maximize value and performance;
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring mutual profitability;
• Lead the forecasting process to anticipate and meet project demands;
• Conduct contract reviews, ensuring alignment with strategic goals;
• Oversee the delivery from main suppliers, working closely with QA/QC teams;
• Navigate multiple vendor management with precision and strategic insight;
• Implement innovative solutions to overcome challenges and meet deadlines;
• Apply technical knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to enhance efficiency;
• Drive stakeholder engagement through exceptional communication;
• Champion a customer-focused approach in all aspects of supplier management;

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in quantity surveying, Law, Engineering, Project Management, Cost Engineering or a similar field;
• 10 years’ relevant experience of which 5 years in a commercial role. Project execution experience is a plus;
• Proven experience in contract management and vendor relationship management;
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management capabilities;
• Extensive and proven negotiation skills in both negotiating large contracts as well as negotiating contract variations;
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal as in writing;
• Active and problem-solving attitude, with resilience under pressure;
• Customer-centric mindset with decisive decision-making skills;
• Technical background with an appreciation for innovation (a plus);
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a drive for excellence;
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
